Background Information
State of Mind Salon & Spa recently expanded into a beautiful standalone facility complete with a new spa and salon. They describe the new building as a wellness-centered approach to health and beauty. State of Mind's dedication to education, as well as operating the most advanced salon and spa equipment, has made it Northwest Indiana's number one salon and day spa.
The Challenge
A large faction of State of Mind's clientele comes from customers who purchase gift cards. Oftentimes, clients requested a tour of the spa before making a purchase, but they could not see the entire facility because it was in use by other clients. In order to put potential clients at ease, State of Mind wanted to develop a digital tour of the facility that would showcase the benefits of spa treatment as well as the style and architecture of the new building.
Artisan3's Solution
After speaking with representatives from State of Mind, the Artisan3 project manager assessed which rooms were most important to customers purchasing gift cards. During a preliminary tour and interview, Artisan3 representatives saw that extra lighting would be required to bring out many of the unique features in and around the building. After gaining a feel for the spa and its ambiance, project managers developed a plan to make a warm and inviting video that showcased the spa in a slow-paced manner that emphasized tranquility and comfort. Artisan3 suggested that the video play in a continuous loop in the lobby where spa guests could see it as they entered.
Final Product
The final video has a running time of 4.5 minutes and uses music, coloring effects, slow motion, and slow transitions to present the spa as a rejuvenating, relaxing experience. Graphics with State of Mind's logo and address were incorporated to further individualize the video. Artisan3 delivered the project on a DVD specially formatted to play continuously throughout the day. Not only is the video played in the lobby, it is also shown at industry trade shows.
